Job Summary

The Terre Haute Regional Hospital Nurse Residency Program is a comprehensive training program designed for new graduate nurses to transition into professional nursing practice. This 12-month program provides a supportive environment for recent graduates to develop clinical and critical thinking skills, while working alongside experienced nurses and nurse educators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition and identify changes in patient status
  • Perform procedures and monitoring as ordered by medical providers
  • Document patient care in the medical record
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor patient response
  • Teach patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, and medications
Requirements
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year of employment
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State
