Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Store Associate to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a Retail Store Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a high level of store appearance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and making recommendations to customers on paint and painting products.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, maintaining a high level of cash handling and customer satisfaction.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Build and maintain productive relationships with wholesale and retail customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, maintaining a high level of sales performance.
  • Maintain precise work order files and formulas, pulling appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse as needed.
  • Tint and mix products, as needed, to customer specifications, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays, maintaining a high level of store appearance and visual merchandising.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, assisting in making deliveries as needed.
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas, ensuring a high level of inventory control and organization.
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered, discussing available options and making recommendations to customers.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, suggesting ways to improve sales and customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
