We are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our team at Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the advancement of healthcare within our community.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct, age-specific care to patients based on medical orders and a multidisciplinary plan of care.
- Assist the healthcare team with the prevention of illness and injury, maintenance of wellness, and provision of comfort.
- Recognize changes in patient situations and intervene appropriately.
- Provide direction, education, and assume leadership responsibilities at the unit level.
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state.
- AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent.
- 12 to 24 months RN experience for Clinical II, 3 years of clinical experience for Clinical III.
- Academic healthcare experience.
- Experience with similar patient populations in acute care settings.
- Diploma or Associates Degree from a professional nursing program recognized and/or approved by the corresponding state's Board of Nursing.
- Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or higher) from an accredited program for Clinical III.
This role requires the ability to work all three shifts, weekends, and holidays. Schedules may be adjusted as necessary to meet unit requirements.
