Key Responsibilities
  • Input and verify production data from the field into the production accounting system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with field personnel to resolve questions and inaccuracies about the data, fostering a culture of transparency and trust.
  • Perform variance analysis for downtime, SCADA data, well test, and production volumes, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
  • Oversee, perform, and manage complex production allocation networks, ensuring seamless data flow and accurate reporting.
  • Proactively monitor variance reports to identify and resolve volumetric discrepancies, minimizing errors and ensuring compliance.
  • Prepare daily and monthly production reports, providing valuable insights to stakeholders and informing business decisions.
  • Validate and reconcile oil invoices/statements to daily/monthly trucking/Lact tickets, ensuring accuracy and preventing discrepancies.
  • Reconcile gas volume statements to settlement statements, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Review and reconcile monthly oil and gas allocations for assigned area, ensuring fairness and equity.
  • Prepare and submit State/Federal regulatory filings related to Wyoming area, staying up-to-date with changing regulations and requirements.
  • Maintain assigned documentation for internal and external audit, ensuring compliance and transparency.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Mathematics, or a related field from an accredited four-year university is preferred.
  • 2-5+ years of production accounting or related experience in the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of industry practices and regulations.
  • System savvy and ability to work with different applications and databases, with a focus on IFS/P2 Merrick applications.
  • Ability to proactively identify issues and drive towards creative solutions, thinking critically and outside the box.
  • Ability to work independently, yet cooperatively and constructively across different departmental functions, building strong relationships and a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to manage diverse tasks of differing priorities, staying organized and focused in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook), with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting tools.
