Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Homework Completion: Provide academic support to students, helping them complete their homework and develop independent problem-solving skills.
  • Lead Daily and Monthly Operations: Take charge of a specific component of our daily and monthly programming, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for our youth.
  • Develop Academic, Physical, and Social Skills: Create opportunities for children to succeed, develop, and strengthen their skills in a safe and supportive environment.
  • Seek Professional Development: Actively pursue resources and training to further support our youth and families.
  • Ensure Child Safety: Report any concerns of child abuse, neglect, or endangerment to the proper authorities and maintain a safe environment for all children.
  • Escort Children: Safely transport children from pick-up locations to the Kroc Center.
  • Design and Implement Lessons: Plan and deliver engaging weekly lessons and activities that cater to the needs and interests of our youth.
  • Research Resources: Identify and provide access to relevant resources and tools for students and families.
  • Build Positive Relationships: Foster strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues, promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Experience working with youth (TK - 5th grade) preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to lead, and a team player mindset.
