Key Responsibilities
  • Assist drivers in loading and off-loading products from delivery vehicles, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery of customer orders.
  • Deliver customer orders using a company van or pickup truck, obtaining signed proof of delivery as required.
  • Drive pilot vehicles for oversize loads, adhering to safety regulations and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Inspect and maintain delivery vehicles to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Plan and pace work efficiently to meet daily, weekly, and project productivity goals.
  • Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices to prevent injury to self or coworkers.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required; commercial motor vehicle license not required.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read and understand maps, routes, and road signs.
  • Knowledge of basic math and measurement skills.
  • Ability to use motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
Work Environment

The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting and carrying of up to 100 pounds, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 200 pounds with assistance. The work environment is typically moderate noise level, with regular exposure to various weather conditions.
