Job Summary
ManTech is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to provide quality oversight of MIL-Q-9858A, MIL-I-45208, or ISO-9000 environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and the ability to provide technical review of written material and assessments of conformance to policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality oversight of MIL-Q-9858A, MIL-I-45208, or ISO-9000 environments to include technical review of written material and assessments of conformance to policies.
- Develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that products are free of flaws and function as designed.
- Design and install sophisticated testing equipment and perform product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates.
- Analyze reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensure that effective corrective actions are implemented and contribute to supplier quality improvement programs.
- Manage professional associates and/or supervisors.
- Be accountable for the performance and results of a team.
- Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.
- Decisions are guided by policies, resources and business plan; receives moderate guidance from manager.
- Provide subject matter guidance to associates, colleagues and/or customers.
- Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own areas and knowledge of other areas.
- Integrate industry best practices in own area to the achievement of objectives.
- Manage a generally homogeneous team; adapt plans and set priorities to meet service and/or operational challenges.
- Identify and resolve moderately complex business problems.
- Impact the level of service and the team's ability to meet quality, volume, and timeliness of objectives.
- Guided by department policies, resource requirements, budgets, and the business plan.
- Guide, influence, and persuade others internally and/or externally.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and twelve years of experience, or four additional years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- The ability to provide quality oversight of MIL-Q-9858A, MIL-I-45208, or ISO-9000 environments to include technical review of written material and assessments of conformance to policies.
Clearance Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements
- The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and/or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
