Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate shear machines, including the use of sit-down forklifts to pull material.
  • Workflow Management: Maintain a continuous workflow by adhering to documented processes and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Perform first part inspections and in-process quality checks to ensure high-quality parts.
  • Inventory Management: Perform monthly physical inventory counts to ensure accurate stock levels.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read and understand engineering documents and shop travelers.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to layout and load materials using basic math and hand-held measuring tools.
  • Knowledge of Materials: Knowledge of sheet metal gauges and ability to maintain the machine in good working order.
  • Physical Demands: Frequently lift, push, grasp, and pull 50 pounds; dexterous with both hands; occasionally work while in a bent, stooped, or squatted position; ability to stand for extended periods.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday, with some overtime required. Steel Toe Boots, Hard hat, and Safety glasses are required. A clean background and passing a drug test are also required.
