Seeking a Clinical Blood Donor Coordinator for our Boerne Donor Room

We are committed to providing exceptional care to our blood donors, and we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Blood Donor Coordinator to join our team. As a Clinical Blood Donor Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our donor center, providing exceptional customer service to our donors, and promoting our blood donation program within the community.

About the Role
  • Provide exceptional customer service to blood donors, including registration, medical screening, and whole blood phlebotomy.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including AABB and FDA guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local medical facilities, community organizations, and other stakeholders to promote blood donation opportunities.
  • Collaborate with our medical team to ensure accurate and efficient donor processing.
  • Provide support to our laboratory team to ensure accurate and efficient test results.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Phlebotomy certification preferred; certification in blood banking or medical laboratory technology a plus.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare or blood banking setting; experience in donor screening or phlebotomy a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with donors, medical staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
