Position Overview

The Cath Lab Technologist plays a vital role in providing exceptional patient care within the cardiac catheterization lab (CCL). This position involves offering technical support to the cardiac catheterization team while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver direct, safe, and competent patient care in the Interventional Cardiology department.
  • Assist in performing various invasive cardiac or peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to address the physical and psychosocial needs of patients.
  • Work under the supervision of the cardiologist/radiologist during procedures.
  • Support the cardiologist by operating necessary equipment and preparing required materials and medications.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations.
  • Provide quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner.
  • Contribute to a patient-focused environment that emphasizes timely and compassionate care.
  • Promote a safe working environment for both staff and patients.
  • Accurately prepare and update patient records.
Qualifications
  • Current and valid license in good standing.
  • Relevant specialty certifications and credentials.
  • Preferred two years of experience in a Cath Lab, ideally in a critical care setting.
