Position Overview:
As a Pharmacy Technician specializing in Order Entry, you will be integral to the precise and efficient management of prescription orders within our closed-door pharmacy environment. Your role is essential in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional pharmaceutical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately triage, interpret, and enter medication orders into our advanced computerized system, maintaining high productivity and accuracy standards.
- Conduct drug calculations and basic mathematical conversions to ensure correct dosages.
- Address and resolve any issues related to claim denials identified during adjudication and follow up on claims in the Point of Sale (POS) system.
- Stay informed about Medicaid claim regulations and processes to ensure compliance.
- Generate reports and keep management updated on pending unpaid claims.
- Deliver outstanding customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, aligning with company values.
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management, supporting various areas of the pharmacy as needed.
- Utilize a headset for call management and effectively navigate multiple applications and monitors simultaneously.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid Pharmacy Technician License as mandated by state regulations.
- A minimum of 1 year of pharmacy technician experience, with at least 6 months in pharmacy data entry.
- Basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication terminology, and the metric system.
- Detail-oriented, goal-driven, and a collaborative team player.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage high-volume calls and orders efficiently.
- Willingness to work overtime or extended hours as necessary.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive pay rate of $21 per hour, with an additional $1 shift differential for specific shifts.
