Job SummaryWe are looking for a seasoned professional with a strong background in health and safety to lead our facility's health and safety programs and initiatives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing effective health and safety strategies, as well as a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement health and safety programs and initiatives to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate health and safety risks.
- Monitor and analyze health and safety metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to health and safety staff to ensure effective program implementation and maintenance.
- Represent Lubrizol in community outreach activities and promote our commitment to health and safety.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as science, engineering, or occupational health and safety.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a health and safety role, preferably in a chemical plant or similar industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, including OSHA and DOT.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CSP certification.
- Emergency response experience (EMT certification).
