Job Summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling is seeking a reliable and physically fit Delivery Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering and removing waste and recycling carts and bins to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a truck and perform delivery and removal tasks in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Deliver and remove waste and recycling carts and bins to customers.
  • Complete accurate documentation of deliveries and removals.
  • Maintain and update work orders.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs.
  • Assist with other projects and tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical demands of the job, including lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling carts and bins.
  • Ability to read and understand a map.
  • General knowledge of truck mechanics.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions:

  • Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or be able to obtain one prior to hire.
  • Must be at least 19 years old.
  • No more than 3 moving violations in the last 2 years.
  • Must not have any DUIs or OVI's in the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years.
  • Possible exposure to high traffic conditions and tight driving areas.
  • Exposure to residential and commercial waste.
  • Ability to travel between offices as needed.
  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable).
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language.
