We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Observation team at Northeast Georgia Health System. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide direct and safe patient care based on the nursing process, and coordinate care for assigned patients on a shift to promote the achievement of clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities- Deliver safe, effective, and efficient care that meets population-specific guidelines
- Actively work to make own and related teams successful, effectively communicate with patients, families, and colleagues at all levels, and show consideration and respect for others
- Lead interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate appropriateness of care and smooth transitions across the continuum
- Effectively apply the nursing process within the framework of the organization's professional model of care, using the nursing process to meet the clinical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of the patient and family
- Identify opportunities for quality improvement to colleagues and management, and serve as a resource for students
- At least 1 year of RN experience
- Demonstrated competence in RN I performance expectations
- Basic computer skills necessary to operate computer systems used on unit
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all members of the healthcare team, including physicians and advanced practice providers
