Role Overview:Compensation:
Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 guaranteed, with flat rates between $21.00 and $40.00 based on experience. The Technician position can be full-time or part-time, depending on business needs.
The primary responsibility of the Technician is to perform basic vehicle diagnostics and execute routine maintenance and repair services in line with company standards and manufacturer specifications.
This role demands delivering exceptional service to our customers by effectively communicating vehicle issues and proposed solutions while consistently meeting expectations for quality and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics to accurately identify necessary repairs.
- Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection for every vehicle, documenting and communicating additional services needed.
- Assist in managing inventory, including pulling tires and parts, as well as unloading and stocking supplies.
- Maintain the store's cleanliness and organization to meet Monro's standards.
- Perform services in accordance with safety standards, including Monro's Wheel Torque and oil safety procedures.
- Test drive vehicles following Monro's Road Test policy, adhering to local traffic laws.
- Understand and comply with company policies, governmental standards, and safety regulations.
- Keep technical knowledge up to date by completing required training courses.
- Safely operate and maintain all equipment in accordance with guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Automotive training or equivalent experience in car maintenance and repair.
- ASE certification and State Inspection license preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report.
- Possession of a basic set of tools or participation in Monro's tool purchase program.
This position operates in an automotive shop environment with exposure to moderate noise, adverse weather, and various automotive chemicals.
Technicians must be able to:
- Work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs without assistance.
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Perform physical tasks such as bending, squatting, and twisting.
- Performance-based incentives.
