TheraCare of New York is seeking a motivated Physical Therapist to deliver exceptional care and enthusiasm in working with our adult population in both Skilled Nursing and Home Health Care settings.

About the Role:

This is a Full Time position including skilled nursing facilities in Warsaw and Wabash along with the delivery of Home Health services in the surrounding areas. As a Physical Therapist, you will evaluate and treat patients, in accordance with the orders from the physician, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination, body alignment, to relieve pain, improve movement and function.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and treat patients in accordance with physician orders
  • Use a variety of therapeutic procedures to restore muscle strength, coordination, and body alignment
  • Relieve pain and improve movement and function
  • Work as a member of a team providing support and information within the area of Physical Therapy
  • Provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Advanced Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current state license/certification
  • Current registration with the American Physical Therapy Certification Board
  • Prefer minimum one (1) year experience in rehabilitation
  • Excellent oral, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to provide therapy services in locations including, but not limited to, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Outpatient Facilities, Long Term Care Facilities or Home Health Care
  • Demonstrate competency in applying the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in specific therapy discipline
  • Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements
