About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team at Atlantic Rehabilitation Institute. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the recovery journey of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, identifying individual needs and developing personalized care plans.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Nurse to reassess patients and update care plans as needed.
  • Perform quality improvement assessments and implement changes to improve patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care, evaluating patient progress and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Manage patient pain effectively, educating patients and families on pain management techniques.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Registered Nurse or management team.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse program.
  • Current state licensure as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
  • CPR/BCLS certification, with ACLS preferred.
  • IV Certified or obtained within 6 months, highly preferred.
  • Minimum six months of Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting, preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
