Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist at Carilion Clinic, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team. This position requires a skilled and compassionate individual who can perform a variety of technical procedures in diagnostic ultrasound, ensuring accurate imaging of the human body.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform highly skilled technical procedures in diagnostic ultrasound, adhering to IAC standards and ensuring quality images.
Provide care and services to patients of all ages, promoting a culture of excellence and quality service.
Operate highly specialized equipment to obtain quality images, maintaining a professional environment and anticipating patient needs.
Evaluate, position, and observe patients with a high degree of professional ethics, care, and courtesy, ensuring patient safety.
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent, with a graduate of an approved School of Ultrasound or equivalent training.
Experienced sonographer with hospital-based experience preferred, but new registered graduates are encouraged to apply.
Registered Cardiac Sonographer - ARDMS/CCI in adult echo, BLS required.
