Respiratory Therapist

The Respiratory Therapist plays a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a key member of the healthcare team, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for coordinating and delivering respiratory care services to patients with a wide range of respiratory conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure
- Conduct diagnostic procedures to evaluate the need for and response to respiratory therapy
- Administer respiratory care therapies, including oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy
- Assist with placement of artificial airways and initiate, monitor, and maintain mechanical ventilation
- Monitor patients for therapeutic response and notify providers and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response
- Assist with transportation of ventilator-dependent patients and respond to emergent patient situations
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
- State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification
- RRT/Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) certification
- Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Neonate Resuscitation or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 30 days of employment start date
