Occupational Therapist Inpatient Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate patients' functional abilities and develop personalized treatment plans to address their needs.
  • Administer occupational therapy treatments, including exercises, activities, and modalities, to help patients regain strength, mobility, and function.
  • Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Document patient progress and outcomes, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on self-care, prevention, and lifestyle adaptation.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Kansas.
  • Experience working in an inpatient rehabilitation setting, preferably with a focus on occupational therapy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
