About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Automation Specialist to join our team in Dulles, Leesburg, or Centerville, VA area. As a key member of our Field Service Automation team, you will be responsible for providing proactive product support and improving customer loyalty through exceptional technical expertise.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide level I and II phone and on-site support to maintain product performance and resolve customer complaints related to hardware, software, and reagent issues.
  • Proactive Service Support: Perform proactive service activities to maintain system performance, identify root causes, and implement solutions that meet customer and business needs.
  • Documentation and Communication: Record accurate and timely documentation of customer complaints and actions taken to resolve concerns, as well as plan and prioritize customer visits and activities.
  • Training and Development: Prepare, schedule, and execute training events with customers to improve self-sufficiency and increase knowledge of component replacement and assays.
  • Sales and Account Management: Coordinate orders, deliveries, and billing of products and services, monitor inventory, and participate in customer business reviews.

Requirements:

  • Education: Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 2 years of relevant experience with instrumentation in a laboratory environment, as well as 2 years of experience interfacing with customers.
