Job Summary:

The CT Technologist is responsible for operating computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CT scanners to produce high-quality images of the body's internal structures
  • Prepare patients for exams, ensuring their comfort and safety
  • Review requisitions, patient questionnaires, and medication lists to ensure accurate and safe imaging procedures
  • Position and instruct patients to obtain the desired diagnostic images and results
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures to ensure quality and safety
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documents, including contrast reactions and radiation doses
  • Stock and clean scanner rooms, and notify supervisors of supply needs
  • Transport patients as needed
  • Perform other duties as required or directed
Requirements:
  • ARRT certification in Radiology
  • RTR licensure in Commonwealth Massachusetts
  • CT modality requires a Sub-specialty (CT) certification within 1 year of employment
  • BLS certification
  • Maintaining all area-specific CEUs for ARRT, DPH according to regulation
Work Environment:

This position requires work indoors in a normal office environment. The physical demands of this position should be adjusted as necessary.
