Position Overview:
Lifeline Animal Urgent Care is in search of a dedicated and skilled Emergency Veterinarian to join our passionate team. Our veterinarians are vital in delivering prompt and high-quality medical care to pets in urgent situations. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting comprehensive examinations, diagnosing conditions, and formulating treatment plans for urgent care cases.
- Collaborating with a team of veterinary professionals, including registered veterinary technicians and medical support staff, to ensure cohesive and efficient care.
- Effectively communicating with pet owners, presenting treatment options, and discussing prognosis and follow-up care.
- Performing medical procedures such as soft tissue surgeries, relief of urethral obstructions, and point of care ultrasound.
- Interpreting diagnostic results, including radiographs and lab tests, and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed medical records for all patients.
- Providing compassionate euthanasia services when required, guiding pet owners through the process with empathy.
- Staying informed about the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and urgent care practices.

Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree.
- Valid State veterinary license.
- Two years of experience in emergency veterinary medicine.
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License.
- Fear Free Certification, or willingness to obtain within six months of employment.
- RECOVER certified, or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
- Comfortable performing soft tissue surgery.
- Strong diagnostic and clinical skills.
