Culinary Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Banyan Treatment Centers in Gulf Breeze, Florida. As a key member of our culinary staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food services in a residential environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Managing Chef to develop menus that meet the dietary needs of our residents.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to national and local health standards.
• Requisition food supplies and equipment as needed.
• Inspect and taste food for quality and presentation.
• Assist in the ordering of food and supplies, as directed by the Director of Food Services.
• Supervise the serving of food and ensure that it meets quality and quantity standards.
• Responsible for the quality and quantity of food served, ensuring that it meets the dietary needs of our residents.
• Assure that food is prepared in a timely manner to meet meal schedules.
• Ensure the proper storage of perishables and minimize food waste.
• Work cooperatively with other staff members to achieve our goals.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum experience required, with evidence of experience in food preparation, sanitation, and hygiene.
