At TELACU Residential Management, Inc. (TRM), we strive to provide exceptional living experiences for our residents.
The Housing Services Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple housing communities, working closely with on-site staff and the supervisory team. This role requires a proactive and engaging approach to interact with team members under their portfolio, assessing and managing healthy aging plans and transition plans in collaboration with Resident Service Coordinators.
One of the key responsibilities of this position is to create partnerships with community health and social services providers to ensure seamless care management meetings for complex situations. The Housing Services Manager must also support the Director of Resident Services Programs and coworkers in providing a supportive environment for seniors and individuals with disabilities at TRM/TPM communities.
This role involves leading special projects and assignments, providing training to new staff, and performing administrative tasks as directed by the Director of Resident Services Programs. The Housing Services Manager may be assigned to multiple facilities and will travel to other sites as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish positive relationships with assigned communities and colleagues.
- Develop and maintain RSC new-hire training materials and keep the RSC manual up to date.
- Train new hires and existing RSCs on company policies and procedures.
- Regularly review internal financial reports, HUD regulatory reports, and RSC programming reports; prepare and submit all HUD reports and budgets for assigned portfolios.
- Responsible for completing annual performance reviews for team members assigned to their portfolio, including follow-up and implementation of development or improvement plans.
- Review and approve expense reports, staples orders, Per Unit Per Month (PUPM) invoices submitted from team members under assigned portfolios.
- Manage ADP Payroll Functions, including mid-week e-Times, final payroll, vacation/sick time off.
- Oversee and manage the collection and updates of Reasonable Accommodations and modifications for TRM/TPM and Per Unit per Month (PUPM) programs in collaboration with the Director of Resident Services Programs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to elevate performance, implement corporate policies, and maintain a high level of housing awareness.
- Ensure team members assigned to their portfolio maintain resident and program data using AASC Online; case management, progress updates, interactions with residents, resident participation in programs, and sentinel resident events.
- Engage and motivate team members to create programs for residents, including social isolation prevention, health and well-being programs, and onsite transportation programs for each community.
- Ensure team members collaborate effectively with local agencies to review discharge plans for seamless transitions back to the community; ensure proper follow-up care is available.
- Convene and facilitate team meetings with community partners for strategy development.
- Ensure team members complete and submit monthly management reports and additional reports as requested by HUD and TRM/TPM.
- Support the Director of Resident Services Programs with the interview process of applicants to the RSC position and make decisions to hire prospective candidates.
- Develop and maintain good tenant relations, organizing, participating, and facilitating resident programs at the communities.
- Attend staff, departmental, and required meetings.
- Must be able to work evenings or weekends as needed.
- Other special projects and coverage of TRM/TPM sites as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gerontology, Psychology, or Counseling, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four years' experience working with elderly and/or those with developmental challenges.
- Must be bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish (written and oral).
- Preferred experience in health education and prevention programs.
- Preferred knowledge of AASC Online and HUD provided software.
- Must have foundational computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook email and calendaring) and the Internet.
