Job Summary

PAGNY is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Medicine Specialist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County. As a key member of our Heart Health Center, you will provide comprehensive services to improve heart health and maintenance in a community-based setting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular medicine and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with our team to provide high-quality patient care, lead quality improvement initiatives, and participate in educational programs for medical students.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care and coordinate clinical care in outpatient Cardiovascular Medicine Sub-specialty clinics and the Cardiac Non-invasive procedure lab
  • Lead the delivery of quality patient care services - meeting or exceeding quality, patient and employee safety, and patient satisfaction
  • Obtain complete history and physicals
  • Order, perform, and interpret laboratory tests
  • Order medications and medical devices, as needed
  • Interpretation of echocardiographic studies, exercise stress tests, and stress echocardiograms
  • Perform and interpret Transesophageal echocardiograms
  • Interpretation of EKG and Zio
  • Provide instruction for Medical Students
Qualifications
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Cardiovascular Medicine
