About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at Magna Services. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for performing repetitive line assembly operations to mass-produce automobile outside rearview mirrors.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assemble parts in specified relationships to each other following written and visual guidelines or instructions. Bolts, clips, screws, heatstake, or otherwise fastens parts together.
  2. Tend machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations in assembly cells.
  3. Work at different workstations as production needs require, including using various fixtures to attach parts such as springs, manually attaching electrical connectors, heater pads, gaskets, and grommets, and affixing mirror glass to actuators.
  4. Work in a safe manner to avoid injury to self and others, participate in problem-solving and continuous improvement activities, and maintain 5S and housekeeping practices.
  5. Understand your responsibility to environmental programs, including ISO14001, and understand the EMS consequences of your work activities and/or behaviors from specified work instructions.
  6. Complete all necessary paperwork on time and accurately, such as glass traceability, scrap sheets, daily production reports, 5S checklists, and start-up checklists.
  7. Perform all daily start-up checks at your station per the IPCP and notify TC if checks do not work as intended.
Requirements
  1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
  2. One to three months related experience and/or training is ideal.
