About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at University Hospitals. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of surgical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and support to patients and families in a primary scrub position.
  • Assist with technical responsibilities in assigned operative procedures, ensuring the availability and proper functioning of instruments and supplies.
  • Support the operative team by following patient care hand-off protocols and actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and maintain a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited Surgical Technologist program or completion of a military Surgical Technologist training program.
  • Thorough knowledge of asepsis, instrumentation, suture, and surgical procedures.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days.
Work Environment

This role requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50 pounds. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain attention to detail is essential.
