Junior Pipefitting Associate

The Pipefitter Helper will support skilled pipefitters and fabricators in the layout, assembly, installation, and maintenance of piping systems, as well as associated hydraulic and pneumatic equipment utilized in various applications such as steam, hot water, heating, cooling, lubrication, and industrial production processes. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize tools including saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders to cut, thread, and shape pipes according to specifications.
- Drill or cut openings in walls to facilitate the passage of pipes using pneumatic drills.
- Determine the appropriate type and size of pipe required for specific tasks.
- Install pipe hangers and brackets to secure piping systems.
- Assist pipefitters in the installation of valves, couplings, and various fittings.
- Participate in the disassembly and removal of damaged or worn piping as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education: No formal education requirements.
Experience: Preferred 6+ months of experience in an industrial environment.
