Job Title: Registered Nurse Transport

AdventHealth Florida is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) Transport to join our team in Ocala, Florida.

About the Role:

This is a full-time position working 36 hours per week with a 12-hour day shift schedule. As a Registered Nurse Transport, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in a transport setting
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify needs and develop effective care plans
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to physicians and other healthcare team members
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of healthcare experience in any capacity upon hire
  • Three (3) of those years as RN in an emergency department OR Two (2) of those years as RN in a critical care department
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree upon hire
  • Active Florida RN or ARNP license required upon hire
  • Valid Driver's License upon hire
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or RQI upon hire
  • Current American Heart Association Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification or RQI upon hire
  • AVADE Education within 6 months of hire date
  • 8 hours Stroke Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually
  • NIHSS Certification upon hire
  • 8 hours Hip & Knee Replacement / Spine Education within 6 months of hire date, then annually
