Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Lincoln Repair.
Salary: The estimated annual salary for this position is between $50,000 and $80,000, depending on experience. Our comprehensive benefits package includes top-of-the-line medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a retirement plan with a company match and profit sharing.
Job Responsibilities:
- Determine mechanical problems through visual inspections or the use of computer diagnostic equipment.
- Perform tests on specific parts and systems to ensure proper function and examine critical components.
- Maintain vehicles through routine and preventive measures, including oil changes and tune-ups.
- Repair or replace malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
- Conduct further tests, which may involve test driving the vehicle, to verify repairs.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Possess a valid driver's license and be insurable by our auto insurance.
- Have extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle repair.
- Excel in mechanical repair skills and analytical/problem-solving abilities.
- Be able to visually diagnose mechanical issues.
- Be proficient with computer diagnostic equipment and software.
- Be able to read service and repair manuals.
- Be able to complete repairs efficiently.
- Be able to read work orders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- ASE Certification A1 through A8 is preferred.
- Three to five years of related experience is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work safely in a noisy environment with various odors present.
- Ability to regularly lift 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds.
- Must be able to inspect vehicles to determine necessary repairs.
- Good vision to inspect repair work.
- Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
