Overview:


The Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist is responsible for executing advanced imaging techniques utilizing specialized apparatus to visualize and assess molecular and cellular functions within the human body.

This role collaborates closely with healthcare teams to obtain detailed imagery of cellular processes, facilitating the diagnosis and ongoing evaluation of conditions such as cancer, neurological disorders, and cardiovascular ailments.

The Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist is essential in providing precise and timely diagnostic insights to enhance patient care and inform treatment strategies.

Talent Pool; Allied Health

Responsibilities:
Conducts both routine and specialized nuclear medicine imaging examinations adhering to established protocols to ensure accurate and efficient visualization of molecular activities.


Operates and maintains sophisticated nuclear imaging devices, adhering to safety regulations and performing regular maintenance checks to ensure reliable and precise imaging results.


Works in conjunction with medical professionals during imaging procedures, offering real-time imaging support to guarantee the correct placement of agents and interventions for molecular evaluation.


Ensures the completion of all imaging studies and documentation within the Computerized Health Information (CHL) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), diligently tracking charges and correcting discrepancies for an efficient workflow.


Facilitates patient care by assisting with necessary patient transport, ensuring seamless coordination during imaging procedures while maintaining a patient-centered approach.

Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION:

Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduate of a Radiology, Imaging, or related educational program

EXPERIENCE:

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required:
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider

CNMT (NMTCB) | Cert Nuclear Med Tech, will accept either CNMT (NMTCB) or ARRT(N)
