Job Summary:

As a Diesel Technician at Love's Travel Stops and Country Stores, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of our fleet. You will troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues, assist customers with roadside services, and provide preventative maintenance services. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair light mechanical issues, including wheel-end assemblies, electrical systems, suspensions, A/C, and engine components

Assist customers with roadside services, providing timely and professional support

Provide preventative maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks

Work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a clean and organized workspace

Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required

2+ years of experience in a related field, such as diesel mechanics or heavy equipment repair

Ability to lift 75+ pounds and work in close quarters

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Ability to work in a team environment and provide excellent customer service
