Position Summary:
  • As the Senior Field Service Technician, you will take charge of installing, upgrading, and resolving issues related to personal computer hardware and software. Your role will encompass conducting equipment inventories, performing preventive maintenance, and providing software and operating system support for both Mac and various Windows platforms. A robust background in field service coupled with outstanding customer service skills is crucial. Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering on-site technical solutions for Windows and Apple computers
  • Diagnosing and rectifying hardware and software problems on PCs
  • Eliminating viruses and spyware/adware
  • Conducting data recovery and implementing strategies to prevent data loss
  • Improving computer security measures
  • Executing system upgrades and repairs
  • Creating tailored technology solutions for residential and small business clients to meet their immediate and future needs
  • Installing and upgrading software applications
  • Assisting non-technical customers to ensure their comfort and understanding
  • Setting up and managing networks (wired, wireless, LAN, WAN) primarily in home environments
Qualifications:
  • 2-5 years of experience with Windows PCs (Win7, Win8, Win10) and networking
  • Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing PCs, both hardware and software/OS
  • Knowledgeable in network troubleshooting, cabling, and PC diagnostics
  • Familiar with peer-to-peer and client/server network configurations and problem-solving
