We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Shift Manager to join our team at Dee Zee. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for guiding production employees in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and coordinate the activities of production employees to ensure efficient and effective production processes.
- Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments and shifts.
- Inspect materials, products, equipment, and facilities to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Monitor production metrics and implement measures to improve quality, efficiency, and productivity.
- Train and develop production employees to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, and company policies and procedures for production employees.
- Track and submit attendance and hours worked through our company's timekeeping system.
- Recommend or implement measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, and efficiency.
- Ensure production meets quality standards and enforce safety and sanitation regulations.
- Associates degree preferred.
- Three to five years of manufacturing or management experience preferred.
- Previous quality experience preferred.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office and MRP systems.
