Job Summary

Welcome to New Beginnings Christian Academy, where we value our team members and strive to create a supportive and inclusive work environment. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our preschool team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive and engaging curriculum for children aged 3-5 years old.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching techniques, including storytelling, educational play, and media, to promote learning and development.
  • Observe and assess children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and develop strategies to support their growth.
  • Encourage socialization and conflict resolution among children, promoting a positive and respectful classroom environment.
  • Plan and implement activities that foster artistic and practical skills, such as crafts, music, and movement.
  • Ensure the health and safety of children during nap and snack times, and maintain a clean and organized classroom.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
  • Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement school-wide initiatives and programs.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; CDA, degree in Early Childhood Education or Elementary Education preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a licensed childcare facility; experience in early childhood education a plus.
