Currently, we are in search of a dedicated and skilled Systems Engineer to support our initiatives. In this capacity, you will evaluate user requirements, operational concepts, and overarching system designs to formulate comprehensive system requirements specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate user requirements, operational concepts, and system architectures to create detailed system requirements specifications.
  • Lead design and development efforts based on system requirements analysis.
  • Assist users in defining requirements, suggest alternative solutions, and conduct feasibility assessments.
  • Provide technical direction for the integration of requirements, design, and technology, ensuring seamless incorporation of new plans and systems into ongoing operations.
  • Generate technical documentation, including system architecture and design specifications.
  • Oversee system development and implementation planning through the creation of system engineering management plans and integration/test plans.
  • Engage with government representatives regarding technical considerations and associated challenges.
  • Ensure the technical integrity of all work and deliverables within the Systems Engineering domain.
  • Communicate effectively with program personnel, government officials, and senior management.
  • Possess expertise in Linux and Windows environments, maintaining the technical integrity of the system baseline throughout its lifecycle.
  • Analyze and resolve intricate issues related to server hardware, applications, and software integration.
  • Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems, ensuring the integrity and performance of network components.
  • Design, deploy, and manage virtual environments (e.g., Docker, OpenShift).
  • Install and configure infrastructure-related software, including DNS and LDAP.
  • Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues, even in the absence of documentation.

Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Systems Engineer in programs of similar scope and complexity.
  • Proven experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering initiatives.
  • A Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution. An additional four (4) years of experience may substitute for the degree.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PKI-controlled access solutions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Ansible, Salt, Python, and Trellix (formerly McAfee Enterprise).
  • Proficient in advanced Linux scripting and server management, including CentOS and Red Hat distributions.

Security Clearance:

  • Current/Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
