Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine bicycles for any mechanical, electrical, or performance-related concerns.
  • Identify and fix issues with brakes, gears, chains, pedals, wheels, forks, and more.
  • Conduct routine maintenance such as tune-ups, chain lubrication, and gear adjustments.
  • Replace worn-out components including tubes, tires, brake pads, cables, and derailleurs.
  • Install various accessories and upgrades such as lights, bells, racks, and suspension systems.
  • Test ride repaired bicycles to ensure proper functionality and alignment.
  • Provide customers with estimates for repair costs and timelines.
  • Assist customers in selecting bicycles or accessories that meet their needs.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized workspace, ensuring tools and parts are stored correctly.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, new models, and technological advancements.
Essential Skills:
  • Strong mechanical skills and technical knowledge of bicycle systems and components.
  • Experience with Shimano and SRAM; familiarity with Campagnolo is a plus.
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various types of bicycles, including mountain, road, hybrid, and electric models.
  • Knowledgeable in the use of bicycle repair tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong communication skills for effective customer interactions.
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity for manual tasks.
  • Understanding of safety practices and procedures.
  • Willingness to acquire ski tech skills is advantageous.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Bicycle Technician or in a similar capacity.
  • Certification from a recognized bicycle repair training program is a plus.
  • Familiarity with computer software for inventory management and customer records is beneficial.
