We are seeking a skilled Transport Paramedic to join our team at HCA Florida Gulf Coast Hospital. As a Transport Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing safe and effective treatment and transport of patients on our ambulance team.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to EMS Call-Center requests and prioritize patient care
- Coordinate with other healthcare providers and facilitate transport
- Collect and convey information to team members and attending physicians regarding patient health status
- Perform duties identified in job description, approved Medical Protocols, and departmental policy
- Florida Paramedic license required
- BLS-American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider issued card required
- ACLS-American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider card required
- PALS-American Heart Association or American Red Cross PALS provider card required
- EVOC-Emergency Vehicle Operations Course completion certificate, or equivalent required
- FEMA-100, 200, 700, 800 preferred
- ITLS-International Trauma Life Support provider card preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a field paramedic with an EMS agency and/or clinical experience working in a hospital
- Current knowledge of EMT-B, and Paramedic scope of practice
- Skilled in patient triage, assessment, intervention, and evaluation practices within their scope
