About the Role

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists and hygienists in the delivery of dental care and services
  • Prepare patients for treatment, including taking medical and dental histories
  • Assist with procedures such as applying topical anesthetics, removing sutures, and retracting tissues
  • Help with radiography, including taking and developing X-rays
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilizing instruments and disposing of waste
  • Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and other team members
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager or supervisory personnel
Requirements
  • One year of experience as a dental assistant or completion of an ADA-accredited dental assisting program
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Dental Radiation Proficiency Certificate (Oregon) and Pit and Fissure Sealant Certificate (Oregon) within 6 months of hire
  • Expanded Function Dental Assistant Certificate (Oregon) and Basic Life Support within 3 months of hire
Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic knowledge of sterilization and infection control equipment
