Position Title: Acute Care Nursing Specialist
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Acute Care Nursing Specialist to join our team. This role requires a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in a fast-paced, medical/surgical environment within a prominent healthcare facility.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of current experience in an acute care, medical/surgical unit, excluding agency roles, with recent work history in the specified settings.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program recognized by the relevant state authority.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or a related discipline is preferred; a Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field is highly desirable.
- Possession of an unrestricted registered nurse license from any state in the United States.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive hourly wage of $57.50.

Work Schedule:
- This is a full-time employment opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring acute medical or surgical interventions.
- Conduct assessments and manage care for patients with diverse physical and psychological conditions.
- Deliver care to patients needing special precautions, including isolation protocols.
- Insert and maintain peripheral intravenous lines.
- Oversee central lines for intravenous fluid administration.
- Administer emergency care as necessary.
- Dispense medications (oral, subcutaneous, intramuscular, and intravenous) and blood products.
- Verify physician orders accurately.
- Document care thoroughly in accordance with facility policies.
- Perform phlebotomy and bedside testing as required.
- Provide psychological support to patients as needed.
- Manage complex wound care and dressing changes.
- May be required to care for patients with COVID-19 or those under investigation for the virus.
