Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team in Brook Park, Ohio. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of engine parts by performing various tests and inspections.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing on engine parts, including receiving parts from operators, cutting the parts, running contamination tests, chemical tests, hardness testing, acid etching, and microscopic testing.
  • Enter data into the computer and report any quality issues.
  • Undergo a 2-3 week training period before moving to shift.
  • Perform cut-up, mounting, and preparing parts for metallurgical testing, surface etching for analysis, hardness and microstructure analysis, cleanliness testing, measuring and recording coolant and washer parameters.
  • Participate in the addition of chemicals, perform bio-stick dip tests, maintain coolant filters and washers, communicate with the customer, maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, maintain tools and utility equipment, support site staff general organization initiatives, interact with the customer's production and technical personnel.
  • Operate hand tools and shop tools, work flexible hours, and carry out other duties as directed.
Requirements
  • Must come from quality lab experience (chemical, heat treat, hardness, non destructive).
  • Be able to lift 40lb cranks (engine parts).
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must have quality lab experience (chemical, heat treat, hardness, non destructive).
  • Use Microsoft to input data.
Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Brook Park, Ohio.
