Job Overview

At St Bernards Medical Center, we are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our medical center.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, and clinical medicine. They will be able to exercise judgment and accept greater responsibility in therapeutic procedures based on patient observation. Additionally, they should be able to prepare treatment medications, administer prescribed treatments, and perform various departmental procedures and duties under general supervision.

Work Environment

This is a safety-sensitive position that requires normal hospital environment working conditions. The successful candidate will have normal or corrected eyesight, full range of hearing, and be able to operate computer, IPPB, CPAP, BIPAP, and other various respiratory equipment. They will also need to lift and carry up to 30lbs and push and pull up to 70lbs while frequently sitting, standing, and walking.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must be licensed as a respiratory therapist in the state of Arkansas and hold an A.S degree from a two-year or longer AMA-approved therapist school.
