About Hands of HopeHands of Hope is South Carolina's only statewide, home-based palliative care and concurrent hospice care provider with a dedicated pediatric team. We provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support to children facing life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Salary and BenefitsPay is determined by years of experience and location. Job DescriptionAs a Pediatric Palliative Care Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to provide high-quality care to children with life-limiting illnesses. You will create tailored care plans, communicate effectively with patients, families, and the care team, and participate in professional development opportunities.
- A heart to serve patients and families and a passion for providing the best possible care.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited certificate, diploma, associate or baccalaureate school of nursing and a current state license as a registered nurse.
- Experience: 3 years of experience as a nurse in a clinical care setting or home health environment and 1 year of pediatric experience required.
- Reliable transportation. Ability to sit, stand, bend, move intermittently and lift at least 80-100 lbs and bear the weight of an average adult effectively.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong ability to empathize with patients and families, and a commitment to delivering high-quality care. You should also be able to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing situations.
