Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Job Description

Caretenders, a part of LHC Group, is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in North Easton. As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in their homes.

Responsibilities:
  • Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, you will perform treatment and provide exercise instruction and patient education aimed at improving the patient's well-being.
  • You will work in Walpole, Mansfield, and neighboring towns, providing full-time, part-time, and PRN services.
  • As a PTA, you will be responsible for instructing and aiding patients in evidence-based treatment within the scope of physical therapy and according to state laws.
  • You will observe, record, and report to the supervising PT, nurse supervisor, and/or physician the patient's response to treatment and changes in the patient's condition.
  • You will coordinate care with other members of the healthcare team as appropriate.
  • You will instruct patients, family, caregivers, and other members of the healthcare team in areas of therapy within the scope of physical therapy.
  • You will visit patients within the entire service area of your respective agency and other nearby LHC agencies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Current licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of MA.
  • Current CPR certification is active.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transport.
