About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the delivery of quality patient care by working collaboratively with the healthcare team.
  • Assist in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, including the setup and organization of equipment and supplies.
  • Provide support to the surgical team during procedures, including the handling of instruments and equipment.
  • Contribute to the efficient operation of the operating room by anticipating and addressing the needs of the surgical team.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
  • Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
  • Surgical Technologist Certificate required at hire.
  • Knowledge of sterile core area and sterile technique.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two to five years of scrubbing experience in all surgical procedures in an inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting.
  • Ability to rotate through sterile core area and assist with instrument cleaning and restocking.
