Job Title: Sleep Technologist

Job Summary:

A Polysomnographic Sleep Technologist plays a crucial role in the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep study disorders. This position involves working under the general supervision of the clinical director (M.D.) or designee to provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform full sleep studies, titration studies, HSTs, MSLTs, MWTs, sleep staging, and scoring using polysomnography equipment.
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs.
  • Prepare and calibrate equipment required for testing to ensure proper functioning.
  • Actively participate in department projects and programs, including department inservice education programs.

Education and Experience:

  • CPR certification is required.
  • Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist is required.
  • Three years of experience or completion of a formal training program in polysomnography is required.
