Clinical Nurse Coordinator - ER
Job DescriptionUnder the general supervision of the unit's director, the Clinical Nurse Coordinator assumes responsibility for the direction and coordination of all functions in the ER on designated shifts. In collaboration with other members of the management team, this individual is responsible for the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the ER.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, monitor, record, report, and follow through on symptoms or changes in patients' conditions.
- Create and maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
- Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and modify the plan of care, as indicated by the patient's responses and conditions.
- Delegate nursing tasks as appropriate and safe but retain accountability for patient care.
- Provide individualized education for the patient, family, and or caregiver throughout the continuum of care.
- Adhere to standards of safety and infection control, in the delivery of patient care.
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program.
- RN licensure by Tennessee Board of Nursing or a Board of Nursing from a compact state.
- BLS from the American Heart Association.
- At least 6 months emergency room nursing experience.
TriStar Summit Medical Center is a 200-bed comprehensive facility serving Davidson, Wilson, and surrounding counties. We offer a full array of acute care services, including cardiology, oncology, orthopedics/spine, rehabilitation, and women's services. We are an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI and a Primary Stroke Center.
