Position Overview:
A healthcare organization in Pleasanton is looking for a dedicated and empathetic family medicine physician to become part of a collaborative, outpatient interdisciplinary team. We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience who are committed to practicing evidence-based medicine and are comfortable treating patients of all ages. This position involves teamwork with other healthcare professionals and leadership of mid-level providers and nursing staff.
Essential Qualifications:
- Valid CA medical license as an MD or DO
- Completion of an accredited residency program
- Board certification in primary care
- CA DEA certificate prior to start date
- Current CPR certification
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct primary care and outpatient services to clinic patients
- Conduct in-service training for clinic staff to enhance patient care
- Contribute to the development of clinic protocols and procedures to ensure high-quality medical services
- Engage in utilization and peer review programs to assess the quality of medical staff and services
- Supervise and consult with physician assistants and nurse practitioners
- Provide consultation services to practitioners via telephone as needed
