Project Engineer Job Description

Garver is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our Texas Water team in Frisco, Texas. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the design and development of water and wastewater systems, including water distribution and collection, sewer distribution and collection, and water and wastewater treatment plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop water and wastewater systems, including water distribution and collection, sewer distribution and collection, and water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Collaborate with clients to ensure their expectations of service are exceeded.
  • Develop and implement engineering calculations and detailed designs for various projects.
  • Work closely with multi-discipline design engineers and CAD technicians to produce design phase deliverables.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, biological, environmental, or similar engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • 2+ years of experience related to design of water/wastewater systems.
  • Registered as an Engineer Intern (EI) or able to obtain in the next 6 months.
Preferred Skills:
  • Master's degree in civil, biological, or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Microstation, WaterCAD, or SewerCAD experience.
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer or ability to become a registered PE within 6 months of hire.
  • Experience in process modeling software, Hydromantis GPS-X or BioWin.
  • Strong communications skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
